Our Story
Music is important to us…
Our ethos is born in the revolutionary fires of the UK rave moment of 1989, a time when electronic music was outlawed, where the only hope you had was found in the bleeps and the bass of techno. Electronic music set a generation on fire with many equating it to the hippy fervor of the 60s, so much so that it became known as the "Second Summer of Love".
OUR STORY
From there, our journey carried us across the global electronic music zeitgeist — through Burning Man, California glitch hop, UK dubstep, and the European techno scene. Over the years we’ve released music on renowned underground labels including UKF, Play Me, Fabric Live, BOKA, Black Acre, Z Audio, Ways to Die, and OBSCUUR, with collaborations alongside artists such as Bassnectar, 16 Bit, The Funk Hunters, and Freq Nasty, and support from SPFDJ, I Hate Models, The Glitch Mob, N-Type, BBC Radio 1’s MistaJam, and Plastician on RINSE FM. Our productions have also found commercial success through TV placements, most notably on The CW network and MTV. Our productions have also earned commercial success through TV placements, most notably America’s Next Top Model, RuPaul’s Drag Race and Fox Sports.
As educators, we have taught at institutions including Garnish Music Production School (UK & Berlin), HIT (Vancouver), Nimbus School of Media Arts (Vancouver) and Langara (Vancouver).
Despite the devaluation of modern music via movements such as EDM and platforms such as Spotify, we maintain the importance of crafting impeccable sound. It is our conviction that music and sound are not merely an ambient phenomenon but a spiritual language as old as our very DNA — one that can evoke worlds beyond our 3D reality and has long been a precursor to revolutions and societal shifts. It is in this spirit that we undertake our work, with dignity, pride and a felt sense of the wonder of sound.
It is now in Bali where we reside, drawn by the deep mysticism of the island. Here, amongst the slower rhythms of village life, we craft our next releases and live performances.
